Gilbert is situated within Maricopa County and is still located within the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Once known as the “Hay Shipping Capital of the World,” Gilbert is the fifth largest municipality in Arizona and has a population of about 250,000. Aside from its historic feats, Gilbert hosts some of Arizona’s great amenities for family-friendly fun, including Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, the Hale Centre Theater, and the iconic Gilbert Farmers Market.
