Chandler has a very charming and welcoming presence as a small town located just Southeast of the greater Phoenix Area. Located within Maricopa County, Chandler hosts a plethora of exciting attractions such as the Desert Breeze Park that includes vintage train rides on the Desert Breeze Railroad. Chandler also is the home to the Veterans Oasis Park, which has a Sonoran Desert landscape, the local wetlands, and a Solar System Walk that includes a full scale planetary model. Along with these, Chandler hosts the Arizona Railroad Museum, Tumbleweed Park, and multiple golfing complexes.
With a population of about 50,000 people, Queen Creek is a smaller town, located on the Southeastern outskirts of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Primarily located in Maricopa County, Queen Creek’s eastern side also shares a border with neighboring Pinal County. Known for its deep-rooted agricultural history, Queen Creek hosts a number of exciting tours of local agricultural centers, including the Queen Creek Olive Mill. Along with that, Queen Creek also has many wonderful hiking locations such as the San Tan Mountain Range and the MD Ranch.
Located just South of the city of Phoenix, Ahwatukee is a quiet and relaxing suburban community within the Ahwatukee Foothills urban village. The serene, mountain-facing community of Ahwatukee is the home to many of the Phoenix’s finest and most sought out hiking spots that lead into the South Mountain Park and Preserve, which are known for their rugged rockscapes and giant cacti. To accompany these wonderful hiking trails, Ahwatukee hosts many incredible shopping areas, community center, and a golfing complex.
The desert city of Scottsdale is located in the Northeast side of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Well known for its spa resorts and golf courses, Scottsdale hosts many exciting attractions including its vibrant and popular downtown. Furthermore, Southern Scottdale is the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, and the historical landmark of Taleisan West. Further North, Scottsdale provides an abundance of exhilarating hiking trails with gorgeous rockscapes and cacti.
